Day 2: Palermo
Today I relocated to a new hostel in the trendy neighborhood of Palermo. Imagine the vibe of Soho, with the cleanliness and decor of Georgetown. Not the most accurate description, but you get the idea. The streets are lined with high-end boutiques, inviting cafes, and posh restaurants packed with fashionable young people. The side streets are dotted with beautiful old homes juxtaposed with artsy new lofts.
Day #1: LGA-IAH-EZE
After over 13 hours of flying, I finally landed in Buenos Aires! I spent much of my first day walking the city, soaking up the warm weather, and exploring the cafes, boutiques, and family-run fruit stands that line the streets. Finally, my jet-lag began to set in, so I called it a day a headed back to the hotel for some much needed rest.
Not the most eventful first day, but I am looking forward to seeing more of the city tomorrow. Pictures to come…
